A note from the founder
The Foundation
For as long as I can remember, I've found comfort in the simple beauty of home: a cozy chair, the scent of fresh flowers, the warmth of a cup of tea on a cold day.

Est. '82 was born from that love. A desire to gather timeless pieces that feel familiar yet enduring, inspired by quality, heritage, and everyday living.
That love turned into a simple idea: a nod to simpler times, when things were made with care and meant to be passed down. From my workshop in Oakville, Ontario, I curate home provisions and fine goods that balance function and beauty; pieces made to be used, loved, and kept.

How We Curate
Every piece in this collection has earned its place. If it doesn't bring joy, or hold up to daily use, if it doesn't tell a story worth keeping, it doesn't make it here.
I seek out Canadian artisans whose work speaks to that same philosophy of craft and intention: makers who value the slow, deliberate process of creating something built to last. I partner with trusted Canadian wholesalers who share my commitment to quality and ethics, ensuring that what I offer reflects the standards I hold for my own home.
In my own workshop, I slowly and intentionally handcraft each serving board, embracing the natural character of the wood and the beauty found in small imperfections. I choose each piece of lumber with care, knowing it might become the gathering place for a family's most cherished moments: where bread is broken, stories are shared, and memories are made.
The Meaning Behind the Brand
My philosophy is simple: good things take time, and good homes are gathered slowly. Here, we don't chase trends. We gather, we keep, and we tell stories through the homes we lovingly create.

Our logo of the three maple leaves, reflects the layered history of Canada itself, honouring the Indigenous, French, and British heritage woven together.
It serves as a reminder that home, like history, is built over time through care, resilience, and connection. As this company grows, more of our Canadian heritage will be reflected in our products, our partnerships, and the stories we share.
Why Est. '82?
1982 is the year I was born. As the brand took shape, the name made sense: a quiet acknowledgement of foundations, Canadian heritage, quality craftsmanship, and choosing things built to last rather than chasing what's new.
Established '82 is rooted in values that remain constant and a commitment to slowing down in a world that rarely does.
An Invitation
Whether you're setting a table, lighting a candle, or gifting something made with intention, I hope the pieces you find here become part of your home's story: the kind that lingers, season after season.
I'm building something rooted and real. A place where quality matters more than quantity, where heritage informs the present, and where every item is chosen because it deserves to be kept.
Welcome to Est. '82, where heritage meets everyday living.
